Meet the FWMN "It Girl": Saeteesh’
Saeteesh’ is a force to be reckoned with in the fashion industry. Not only is she an iconic designer and model in Minnesota, but she's also a creative powerhouse, a mentor, and an all-around kind human. Her talent and dedication have helped her become one of the most recognizable faces in the industry, and her commitment to giving back to others inspires all who know her.

Saeteesh's career in modeling has been nothing short of impressive. Her striking features and commanding presence on the runway have captivated audiences at Fashion Week MN and beyond. But she's not just a pretty face. Saeteesh’ is also a gifted creative, with a keen eye for design and a passion for bringing her ideas to life.
A rual Wisconsin native, Saeteesh’ was surrounded by artistic, eclectic people. Pulling inspiration from old movies featuring actresses such as Loretta Young, Saeteesh’ knew that she would one day have the romantic life depicted in these shows that she longed for.

Saeteesh's journey to becoming an iconic model and creative force in Minnesota began at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design, where she majored in Fashion Design. It was here that she found her community of fellow creatives, and where she began to carve out a space for herself in the industry. As she immersed herself in her studies, she also began to explore the world beyond Minnesota, spending a year in London and traveling to Paris for the first time. This experience allowed her to broaden her horizons and gain new perspectives, and it was a turning point in her personal and professional growth. She even designed a swimwear resort wear line in the late 80’s. Saeteesh's time at MCAD and her travels abroad helped shape her into the bold and confident woman she is today, and her experiences continue to inspire and inform her work as a model, creative, and mentor.

Fast forward, Saeteesh’ received an invitation to participate in a fashion event called "I AM Fabulous," produced by Sarah Edwards, where she was asked to model for women aged 65 and older. This opportunity marked her triumphant return to the fashion scene in the Twin Cities. Despite considering herself "age-inappropriate and vertically challenged," Saeteesh's captivating presence caught the attention of local modeling agencies. Since then, she has been a part of countless fashion shoots, shows, and promotional events. Her growing influence in the industry has earned her the title of "influencer," cementing her status as a true trendsetter and inspiration to many.
Whether she's collaborating with fellow artists or working on her own projects, Saeteesh’ always brings her unique vision and voice to everything she does. Saeteesh is currently working on an exciting new project - a gallery in a local brewhouse that will showcase her unique designs on her beloved friends and connections. The gallery will feature illustrations of these models, expertly crafted by Saeteesh's talented collaborators. The focus will be on bringing the many elements of art together including people, design, modeling, illustration, painting, photography, and more. This collaboration promises to be a dynamic celebration of creativity and community, and is sure to be a hit with fashion enthusiasts and art lovers alike.

However, perhaps most impressive is her commitment to supporting others. Saeteesh’ opened up about the importance of celebrating one's differences and struggles. For her, this was not always the case. Growing up, Saeteesh’ did not always receive the support she needed from her family. However, this experience has only fueled her desire to uplift and empower others on their own journeys. Today, she is passionate about using her platform to support fellow creatives and encourage them to embrace their unique perspectives and experiences. For Saeteesh’, celebrating diversity and individuality is not just a trend - it is a deeply personal mission that she takes to heart. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand have made her a beloved figure among her peers and a true role model for aspiring creatives everywhere.
