Porsche for the People

What do you think of when you think of “Porsche?”

Common things that may come to mind are how sleek their cars are, how high-performing they are, or how memorable the black and red logo looks on the hoods.

However, Porsche Minneapolis and Porsche St. Paul go beyond your pre-determined definition of what Porsche may be. They join #FWMN in centering sustainability, inclusion, and community. Porsche’s values make them different from competitors. Be sure to read on to check out pictures from their pop-up at Sip N’ Bloom’s FWMN 22 Spring show, Picnic: A Fashion Floral Frenzy!

Porsche Minneapolis and Porsche St. Paul have been serving the Twin Cities community for over four decades. Connecting with people is a big part of what makes Porsche and FWMN similar. Porsche provides exceptional customer service whether you are a Porsche collector or have never owned a car in your life; and they’re with you every step of the way. They also are focused on innovation, what’s next, and thinking outside-of-the-box.

Sustainability is important to both FWMN and Porsche. During this FWMN, Into the Studio showcased diverse models with an emphasis on sustainability in fashion from a maker’s viewpoint, how it all really works, what goes in to the collection, and how to keep up the driving force that works in the industry to make fashion accessible and sustainable (check out pictures here!) Porsche matches us with this mission by committing to sustainability by working to avoid and reduce carbon dioxide emissions throughout their “entire value chain.” They also use green energy in production facilities and offer hybrid — and fully electric — vehicles. Porsche — more than any other manufacturer — are linking the fascination of “driving a sports car” to Porsche’s “resource-efficient” mobility.

Porsche collaborated with FWMN to provide an amazing pop-up photo opportunity in front of the Glass House. Flowers — on brand with the theme of the show, Picnic: A Fashion Floral Frenzy — cascaded out the side of the luxury cars and were illuminated by the sunset.

Sarah Edwards, Fashion Week MN and Some Great People CEO, wore a custom designed outfit by Rammy Mohamed of Ramadhan Designs that represented Porsche with it’s innovative design and chrome fabric. Be sure to check out or gallery of pictures of community members admiring — and complementing — the Porsche vehicles!
